Sienna 2012 Rear Camera Voltage

Post by dcarter5 » Thu Sep 13, 2018 3:23 am

I have installed a Kenwood DDX 9704s using a T01 harness and everything appears to work except the OEM fit rear view camera. I have stalk controls, car battery voltage, tire pressure all working. When I measure the voltage of the power wires going to the camera I measure 4.5V. My understanding is the Rear view camera on my vehicle should be 6V.
Is 4.5V sufficient and is that expected. It appears that is is the maestro box that generates this voltage.

Thanks

Dan

4.5v to 7v should in most toyotas is the operating voltage for the camera however on some toyotas they used a camera that requires a bit more amperage to power on. In these cases you will need to get a 12v to 6v step down converter.
