2010 Prius with JBL

Post by emmaface » Wed Sep 05, 2018 5:24 pm

I have a 2010 Prius with JBL audio, idatalink Maestro RR, and TO1 harness. My head unit is a Kenwood DNX693S.
I plan to go to a professional to have these installed, but before I do, I have two questions:

1. What data does my car support to be viewed on my head unit? I found another thread where someone reports the TPMS does not work, is this true or has it been addressed with firmware?

2. Older threads have shown that it was not possible to retain use of the JBL stock amp in my car, and I've seen this discussion on dedicated Prius forums as well. However, the Maestro RR install guide I just downloaded clearly says:
WITH JBL 2010-2011
Retains factory amplifier, steering wheel controls, and more"

So has this functionality finally been added via firmware, or is the install guide blatantly wrong?

you'll have TPMS show up on the radio along with other vehicle info so nothing to worry about there. we also retain the JBL system.
