3.5mm audio cable

Post by closedquestion » Thu Aug 30, 2018 12:27 am

Hi there, I'm trading my Tacoma in on a Ram tomorrow. As I was looking up install on the Ram I noticed the install requires a 3.5mm audio cable. I don't remember using this cable in my Tacoma install. What is it's function, and I have no idea where I put it, can I order another somehow? I just orf=dered the CH3 kit required for the new truck. Thanks!

The audio cable is used to play the chimes for parking assist (if equipped). If the truck doesn't have parking assist or lane departure, you don't need this cable.

A replacement can be purchased for $15 shipped in the US, if you need. Let me know if you would like to order one and I will get the process started.

Thanks! New truck is super base, so no fancy features. Thanks for the quick reply,
