2005 CRV - Sony XAV-AX100 - SW Maestro

Post by Lsuwhodat » Tue Aug 28, 2018 3:19 pm

I installed the above and am not getting a signal to the Maestro. It blinks on startup however when I press the controls on the steering wheel no blinks. I double checked my connections and am going to pull the steering wheel switch tonight to check for continuity, however is there anything else to think of when not receiving a signal?

What type of connection did you make in the vehicle, to the factory wiring? We recommend soldering to the factory wire, or at the very least stripping back the wire and making an eyelet like the head of a needle and twisting the wire thru and taping it (military splice) and not using connectors like t-taps, scotch locks, or positaps. And when you say it blinks at ignition on you get flashing, what color? If it blinks red it means that the unit has not been flashed successfully on the site with vehicle specific firmware.

Remake all your connections on the black 7 pin connector on the SW as recommended.
