Jeep Wrangler JK - Transmission Temp

Post by Guest93920 » Thu Aug 09, 2018 1:05 pm

The transmission temp works as expected when the vehicle is in auto however, when the transmission is placed into manual mode (auto stick) the gauge is no longer reporting the transmission temp. Going back to automatic mode brings the current temp back. The EVIC will display the proper temperature at all times. This is using a Pioneer AVIC 4200 with Maestro RR. Is there anyway to have this corrected?

The engineer that does the coding for gauges is on vacation until September. I believe this car is coded to only read the trans temp when you're in regular auto gears.

In the meantime, I asked an engineer to code a test firmware for you, so let's see how that works for you. To flash it:
- Log in, hit 'flash your module', and then select the 'flash by user firmware' tab.
-You'll see a firmware in there called "ADS-RR(SR)-CHR01-DS Transm. Temp v1 (512) 3.9". Select it, and proceed with the flash.

Please let us know how it works out for you. Thanks,
