2016 F150 steering wheel ?s

Post by Missyprice10 » Mon Aug 06, 2018 4:41 pm

Driving for about 2 hours and got a pop up on my radio
(Pioneer 7200) saying that the obdII connector is not connected, but it was. About 20/30 sec the pop up went away and all functions came back on the radio. But then none of the steering wheel functions would work. Got to my location and truck sat for a few hours and steering wheel functions came back. Going home, about 2hrs again the same pop up came up, went away, then the steering wheel functions didn’t work again. When I got home the truck sat for a few hours, checked the steering wheel functions and nothing was working. So I reflashed the RR. I changed the button function (forward/back) from +- seek to +-preset, one press works on radio stations and XM, but when my iPhone is connected to usb or in BT, I cannot change the song with one press. I have to long press, but it was all working fine with the one press before I got the obdII connector message.

Thoughts?

do you happen to have anything in the blue port on the RR and is anything plugged into the WR input of the pioneer radio? If so, unplug them both.

Nothing in the blue port. Nothing in the WR input.

I’ve had this installed for about 4/5 months now. Everything was working fine up until I got that message.

Can I reset from the radio or do I have to disconnect to reset? After it’s been reset do I have to flash again?

You can reset from the radio, under the OEM Setup menu. No, you do not need to re-flash after resetting.
