Wire connectors?

Post by Max44 » Mon Aug 06, 2018 2:55 pm

Just starting work on connecting a CH2 harness to a Kenwood system. What is your recommended method to connect the wires? I was thinking of using butt crimp connectors. I could solder if you think that would be preferable and won't mess up insulation. Any other tips would be appreciated.
Thanks, Max

If you know how to make a proper soldered connection, I always recommend soldering. Otherwise, crimp caps or butt connectors would be the next best thing.

Dara,

Thanks for the reply. I think I will go for the soldered connection as you suggested.

For anyone else interested, I found the following video that goes through the two methods in great detail. It even relates to auto wiring harnesses.
