2011 4Runner non-JBL and PioneerAVIC-8200NEX

I have installed both, I have triple checked the wiring and I have it plugged into the AUX jack. When I push the volume buttons the light flashes green on the module, but nothing happens on the headunit. When I push the answer or hang up button on the steering wheel it flashes red. If I switch to the AUX part of the head unit the buttons all of the buttons make “blips” through the speakers. Not sure what can be done? Did I buy the wrong stuff? The website said this module should work.

You answered your own question- you shouldn't be plugged into aux; you should be plugged into W/R on the pioneer.
