Blinking Mileage and KM

Post by tersus222 » Sun Aug 05, 2018 12:00 pm

I just recently installed a jvc kw-v840bt stereo and used the Maestro RR and ch3x module to connect to my cars factory amp and harness. Everything is working well except the Mileage is blinking and is showing up in Kilometers instead of MPH?

Does anyone know of an easy fix for this?

Use the install type for 3.0 RA1 radio (where it shows you hooking up to the OBD2 connector). Then, reset your RR. That will most likely take care of the issue.

Does it always need to connect to the obd2 connector?

Also, when you say reset the rr. Is that just powering it off and on?

Yes, we need to constantly talk to the car on the OBD2 to keep your odometer from flashing.

You can reset the RR through the OEM Setup menu in your radio; go to setup > AV > OEM Setup > Maestro Features > Maestro Module > Master Reset.

to reset the RR just follow these steps:
1) Unplug all the connectors from the RR
2) hold down the reset button on the side of the RR
3) while holding down the reset button, plug in the 3 pin power wire connector (has the Black, Yellow, and Red wires in it)
4) Keep the reset button down till you see the led on the side starts flashing red really fast
5) when the led starts flashing red fast let go of the reset button and it should go green for a second then go out
then you can reinstall all the connectors, the Rr has been reset

No, you do not need to re-flash.
