A bit of an update: In regards to the memory seat pausing the audio. I found that in the Limited's the memory seat option remember audio source and climate, etc in addition to seats. That would make sense as to why it might pause the audio when you use that option so this is likely not a DSR-1 thing.

Just to keep you updated: We're going to re-test a 19 Ram this week to see if we can replicate the issues and get to the bottom of them.

That's great news. Let us know the dash style and speaker count when you get it :). The center display can vary (5 inch, 8.5 inch, and 12 inch), but so can the speakers (stock (6), Alpine (9), or Harman Kardon(19)). Different amps are supplied depending on the build. The amp is bypassed with the DSR1, but I wonder if the signal sent to them varies at all. ...no idea.

Crossing my fingers! Thanks for digging in to this. Incidentally, my setup is the 8.5 display with 6 stock speakers.

Any luck? Is there anything I can do to assist in regards to testing/config?

Have a laptop and cable ready to plug in to the DSR1 at any moment.

We have one in our bay that we're working on, so we just need you to be patient. We found bugs in the current RF firmware; they are working on fixing them. Stay tuned for an update.

Any chance we'll have new updates to test over the weekend?

Thanks! Replied to email, forwarded you diagnostics.

I'm still having the same issue. Reflashed with 1.7.2.0, reconfigured on the Maestro site, deleted and reinstalled PerfectTune app.

Still plays sound only when I save a new setting to the app. I get sound for about 3 seconds, then it gets a little louder and cuts out. When in Maestro mode, I do not have the option on the top left to switch between main and aux.

Thanks,
Warren

A lot of good news on my end: A Lot of issues seem to be resolved. Siri prompts are now working properly, no issues with audio not working and cutting out; I tested it about 20 times.

Attenuation seems to work for the parking sensors. It would still be nice if the rear sensors volume could be increased (or even manually adjusted somehow); when I’m playing music even with attenuation (because the gain is quite a bit higher in the front) you can’t hear the beeping in the rear. That said, because it attenuates it at least brings it to my attention now.

Notifications from CarPlay are also working, ringtone, etc. GPS prompts from CarPlay is working.

The only thing I’ll request regarding the CarPlay GPS: Because the DSR1 configuration does not give us an option to change prompt to “all speakers” only “front speakers”, if you’re listening to music pretty loud, the rear speakers can drown out the GPS directions. Can the volume be increased at all for that portion?

I haven’t been able to test the BLIS and FWC audible safety features yet but I’ll test the BLIS later today for sure, I can’t really test the FWC because I don’t really want to trigger it and accidentally get into an accident or anything like that I kind of just have to wait for it to pop up.

The update did not fix my issues (base 6 speaker stereo). But they are getting a unit like mine in on Monday and hopefully I'll have good news next week too!

An update:

BLIS and FWC do seem to make noises now and the music does attenuate however it's incredibly quiet. Like if music is less than, say, 10 and the alert is triggered the alert sounds like a whisper even with the music attenuated.

Additionally: It seems as though notifications and such may be tied to the GPS volume of the CarPlay which doesn't appear to have a memory. So when I get into my truck and test notifications they are incredibly quiet, and again you can't even hear them if you have music pretty loud even with attenuation. But if you start GPS navigation (which by default again is very very quiet even with attenuation) through CarPlay and when the voice prompt starts you turn up the audio to the max for the GPS voice, you can hear the directions and notifications like normal.

Hello Guys...

Any updates on this? looking in to adding a system to my ram.

Also will the HU output a full 20-20k signal without any kind of EQ, Time Alignment & Processing?

How clean the signal is?

Thanks!
JC

We have an updated firmware that resolved the issues in this thread, so you should be able to flash for a 19 Ram no problem. I am unsure of what frequency the factory radio puts out, but it will use a digital signal output just like the factory amplifier did. The signal is clean. The audio comes to the DSR1 flat, and you use the Perfect Tune app to set the EQs and such.
