2019 Dodge Ram 1500

Post by henkew » Mon Jul 16, 2018 4:16 pm

Hi,

The new Dodge Ram has engine noise canceling technology. I'm not sure how it works, but I understand that it involves the amplifier (located under the drivers seat). Does the aR work with the 2019 Dodge Ram, is a harness available, and does it impact the noise cancellation? Just picked one up and would like to do some upgrading!

Hi Warren,
we do support the 19 Ram 1500 with both the 8.4" and 12" screens, with the Harmon KArdon system and the amplified system that isn't the HK. It would use the aCH4 harness regardless of the system.

This is awesome news! Thanks!

The aCH4 harness must be new. I'm not seeing it on the vendor sites I've checked yet.

Found everything I need, very excited about this.

Question: My Ram with the base system did not come with a center speaker. I have a spot for one and would like to add it. Will this provide the imaging needed to add/configure a center speaker? I'm guessing it will...

I'm thinking one of breaking down the 8 lines as follows: One for the sub, One for the center speaker, 2 for the rear, 2 for the front door (6.5 and passive tweeters on the sail), and 2 for the dash speakers. Sound like it will work?

I think that will out well, the DSR1 is a neat little piece.

Can anyone verify for sure that the ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) still functions and no problems are introduced once the factory amp under the drivers seat is removed? My understanding is the factory amp is responsible for this and this is my only concern about using the Maestro aR.

Thanks!

I do not believe we retain ANC in these solutions.
