"My Ford" icon doesn't appear on Kenwood

Post by Dougw » Thu Jul 12, 2018 11:04 pm

I'm just installing my Kenwood ddx9904s into my 2011 ford f350 superduty.

The instructions I have says after the initial turn on to go to the "my ford" icon and connect blue tooth then follow the directions on the screen to finish setting up maestro RR. However, I'm not seeing the "my ford" icon. I can get to the gages, and such.

I have maestro flashed to view / use sync if that matters any. The radio seems to be working ok and excepting steering wheel commands as well.

Also, if it matters I have the 4 wire black maestro lead plugged into the radio and also the 3 wire plug from the maestro into the 3.5mm idatalink input as well. Am I suppose to have both or just the 4 wire connection next to the usb port?

You are all good. The "My Ford" icon was for the older Kenwood radios the newer ones do not have that anymore.
As for the 4 pin and 3 pin cables both are used, so again you are good.
