2011 Chevy Malibu + JVC KW-M730BT no response

Post by artmoo » Wed Jul 04, 2018 4:46 pm

Installed the Maestro to my 2011 Chevy Malibu LTZ today. The green light quickly comes on and goes off when I turn the key. However pushing buttons on my steering wheel garner no response on my stereo. The green light doesn't come on to register the presses either.
I've connected purple/red to the blue wire in the car, cutting it so it does not pass through to the stereo harness. Same with the white/black to black/white connection. RCA plug goes into the idatalink jack on the back of the stereo.
I tried flashing the unit again and then reconnecting but the results were the same.
Any ideas?

The blue/yellow wire in the 4 pin blue connector from the SW should be connected to the blue/yellow on the JVC, and that 3.5mm jack should not be hooked up to anything.
