Getting Started

Post by samowen54 » Tue Jul 03, 2018 2:01 pm

I have a few quick questions, I'm just getting started and am hung up in a few places already.

One, I know it is well documented that you need a PC to flash the unit. I dont have a PC or access to a PC (my Maestro came with my i207-WRA which was a gift) so I didn't do any research ahead of time. Are there ANY other solutions out there now to allow me to flash this with my Mac or another device?

Second, when I do the flashing demo, I don't see the I207-WRA listed as an option under Alpine. I see it's cousin the iLX-207 but I don't know if I should just pick that or if I need to somehow find the i207-WRA option?

Lastly, is there a guide for the steering wheel button options anywhere? Not sure I know what attenuation is or what "audio/sound" or "Preset & Folder +/-) would do if assigned.

Thanks all!

1- No must be a windows based PC. If you don't have one you can visit a local library or car audio shop i.e. Best Buy
2- In the demo we don't have the ALP-MRR protocol. When you do the actual flash it will detect your module and you radio will be available to select
3- Button names and descriptions are set by the radio manufacturer

Thanks for all the great info. do you have any suggestions for how I can go about identifying the button options/names that I have with the Alpine unit? I Cant seem to find that anywhere.

Alpine may be able to help with what specific functions are available for the restyle solutions.
