2012 Outback Harmon Kardon -- Sub wiring

Post by smrbrts » Wed Jun 27, 2018 9:41 am

I've got a Kenwood ddx9903s and the RR SU2 for my 2012 Outback with the Harmon Kardon but no Nav. Looking at the wiring diagram it looks like this config doesn't use the preamp output from the head unit for the Sub. Is this correct? It does show connections for the front/rear left/right combos for the preamp out.

Behind your OEM radio, you may have a 16 pin connector that fits our "Connector A". If so, that is the wiring for your sub. If that connector isn't present, the HK amplifier sums the signal and provides it to the OEM sub.
