370Z with MAesto

Post by rv4mike » Sat Jun 09, 2018 4:22 pm

I'm loosing my mind with this... the Maestro keeps on rebooting almost everytime you touch the screen. It receives a constant 12.38 volts so its not a voltage problem

What is goin on

What kind of radio do you have?

I have a Pioneer AVH-2300 NEX
The Maestro kept on restarting causing the originally greyed out Car parameters function to be visible and then not visible.

Removed the Maestro and everything is OK OK. If I hook it back up it keeps rebooting with only the datalink cable connected. With only power it flashes red - Can't communicate with radio which is normal

With datalink, constant reboots. With signal cables connected same thing. Could the Maestro unit be bad. I have flashed the firmware many times

It might be best if you can call our tech support line when you're in the car to do some troubleshooting. We want to go over your wiring first to make sure there's not something else causing this issue. The phone number is in my signature below.

With just power to the Maestro - Flashing red (this makes sense)
With Power and data link cable - regular reboots with 15 to 30 sec intervals
With power , data cable and harness wires - regular reboots with 15 to 30 sec intervals
With power , data cable and OBD - regular reboots with 15 to 30 sec intervals

Wire has been checked over and over - same result

I have returned the unit and was looking to get a replacement - will this help

I doubt it- it's probably not the RR. It might be best if you can call our tech support line when you're in the car to do some troubleshooting. We want to go over your wiring first to make sure there's not something else causing this issue. The phone number is in my signature below.

I will call once I have this hooked up again with a new unit

I think you missed my original assessment.
The MAestro RR reboots with only power and the data link cable plugged into the Pioneer AVH-2300 NEX without any other wires hooked up outside of power. (Only Connector G and H)

The same thing happens when the data harness, (connector A) is added to the Maestro

You could still be having issues with the wiring, unrelated to the maestro module, if you hooked something up incorrectly.

Went to the download like for my install guide.

Should be
ADS-RR(SI)-NIS01-DS-IG

Link is below
http://images.idatalink.com/corporate/C ... 180619.pdf

What id downloaded is a link for an install to a Chevy City Express Bluetooth 2010-2018

Which is obviously not a Nissan Vehicle.
What is the install guide for A Nissan 370z Base with steering wheel controls? Obviously the web link in wrong

The link isn't wrong- scroll down until you see your vehicle (about 15 pages). The cars we cover are listed alphabetically in the install guide.
