2016 F150 Speaker Issue

Post by BobSlob » Sat Jun 09, 2018 3:22 pm

I just upgraded my stock 4.3" unit to a 2300 NEX from Pioneer using the FTR1 dash kit and Maestro RR for steering wheel controls.

The issue I'm having is the rear stock 6.5" in the doors is remarkably quiet. If I put the fader all to the back I can hear that they're working, but it's just way too silent. The real problem is the cab isn't filled "fully" and everything is to the front. Makes having conversations with those in the back near impossible.

I have bypassed the sync module (It's not plugged in anymore), but I doubt that'd be the cause.

Any ideas?

How did you wire up your audio? Did you plug in the RCA connectors on the harness? If so, that's the issue. You must cut the RCAs off and wire them up to the speaker wire connections of the new radio. Also, when you set up the radio, did it ask you about running your speakers in network/standard mode? If so, you should choose standard or you'll have weird behavior from your audio outputs.
