2014 GMC Sierra 1500 Compatibility

Post by linerjoe2 » Fri Jun 08, 2018 3:14 pm

I have a 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 Crew Cab (shortbed) with the Bose stereo (no sub).

The main page for Maestro shows compatibility. However, when I look at the details for the GM3 harness, it is not clear whether the 2014 Bose system is compatible.

Just looking for confirmation one way or the other, before I pull the trigger on a Kenwood DDX9704s HU.

Thanks!

This truck is supported, however, we are NOT able to retain Bose at this time. We give wiring information in the installation guide to assist with either bypassing it, or installing another amplifier in its place.

I hope this helps,

So if I'm interpreting this correctly, the factory amp will no longer work. So I could bypass it, and just use the internal amp on the new headunit, or wire in a new aftermarket amp.
