2008 Ford Escape Hybrid and Kenwood KMX7704S tire pressure

Post by Endermouse » Sun May 27, 2018 12:06 pm

Team,

I just installed as the subject says. All gauges are working with the exception of the Tire Pressures. I was just wanting to know if there was anything I could of missed, as having the tire pressures is really the only reason I wanted the Maestro.

I pulled out my unit and verified all wiring was in tact and good. Verified that my OBDII connector was installed correctly with the pins in the right locations. Any ideas? Does it take some driving around/certain amount of time before the tire pressures show up?

On older ford vehicles, the tire pressure system did not send a numeric tire pressure value- they simply report whether the pressure is good or bad.

On the vehicle info screen, depending on the radio, you will either have a green square by each tire, or nothing. Both of these mean the tire pressure is good- if you have a red square or an indicator next to the tire, that means there is a tire pressure issue.

Thanks Dara. I do have the 4 green squares on the readout right now. I thought that may be a thing, but the Kenwood documentation for the Maestro screens is lacking and didn't say/show how the data would appear.

I think everything is work great then!
