2015 Ram 1500 and a new Alpine ILX f309

Post by Bootguy » Fri May 11, 2018 10:04 pm

I just purchased this deck through Crutchfield. I also got a Maestro RR, ch3, Sat 1, Crutchfield advanced ready harness, and Sirius sxv300v1 tuner. I have a couple of problems.

1. I cannot receive satellite radio with the Sat 1 adapter but can with the antenna supplied with the tuner. I would like to use the OEM antenna
2. The instrument gauges show up but do not function

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Did your truck come with OE satellite (has the sharkfin antenna on the roof)? If so did it work with the OE radio? Can you pick up FM stations on the Alpine? If yes to all of these questions it's possible the SAT1 adapter is bad.

Does the gauges have numbers in them or something else? Can you select different gauges to show?

Yes, I had the OE radio and antenna, worked great

Yes, the guages are on the screen with numbers. All values are zero except the speedo.

I would suspect the SAT1 is bad in that case.

as for the gauges, you might just need to do a reset on the Maestro module:
Unplug all connectors from the Maestro unit
Hold down reset button on side of Maestro
Plug in just the 3 pin power connector (Red, Yellow, and Black wire)
Continue to hold down reset button till you see a flash flashing red led, then let go of the reset button.
Led should go green then turn off
plug in the rest of the connectors
turn ignition on and check gauges
