2018 WRX base model inquiring

Post by TypeRracer22 » Sat May 05, 2018 9:06 am

So i have a 2018 WRX base and I'm wondering what exactly do i need because nothing on the website has for a 2018 wrx. I see everything for a 2017 wrx base and I'm wondering if i can follow that diagram by using the same installation and parts.

We don't cover the 2018 yet- It will be covered by the SU2 harness, but there are some differences in how the data systems of the 2018 models work, so I would hold off until we show it as covered on our site.

Crutchfield has the SU2 harness now for $35. I bought mine there.

I just picked up my SU2 harness. Waiting on the Toyota sat antenna converter. I have an ‘18 WRX LTD, HK amp, Nav and Eyesight American config, not Canadian. Pioneer AVH-4200 NEX
Any ETA on the ‘18 flash & support? Can I use the ‘17 config in the meantime, leaving the RR data port accessible with only one panel removal, for the future ‘18 config?
I’ve read through phd12volts comments on the NAISOC forum about he SU2 harness. Are there differences between US & Can config?

Flashing it as a 17 will not work. The data systems changed in the 2018 model. We are working on it. While I can't promise a specific ETA, I would say it should be released within the next few months.

They didnt read anything of what i posted about the 18.

which is why it is working in my 18 STI..... i got it to work by moving the can lines. I even showed them pictures of the location.

Also i have said it NUMEROUS times on the NASIOC forum that i work here, and that should be reason enough to understand that i am trying to figure the car out.

NOW please refrain from telling me on the NASIOC forum "well Dara said......." i know dara, and i can call her on her cell or at our office. Dara is 100% correct... it is NOT COVERED!

Now that that is out of the way..... i am taking my 18 sti to the office on JUNE 6th-JUNE 10th i am hoping they can get all the extra info needed while my vehicle is there.
