2011 Fusion w/ Sync, no audio from phone over bluetooth

I just installed my Pioneer AVH-2300NEX with the Maestro RR and am quite happy with the solution thus far. Only issue is that I have my phone working through Sync and I can make and receive calls as expected, but I get no audio from the call, though the person on the other end can hear me. What might cause this issue?

i want you to check the audio cable that came with the Maestro RR, it is a 3pin black connector on one end and a 3.5mm connector on the other end. this cable must be plugged into the only 3pin jack on the Maestro RR and the AUX input on the Pioneer radio. Without this cable you will not get any OEM Source audio.

Before I pull my dash apart again is there another way to test that connection? I am certain I plugged it into the aux port but it is possible it got dislodged when I was messing with something else.

no its a visual check. we need to ensure we have the right cable and that it plugged into the correct location. again we need to ensure its the black 3pin to 3.5mm audio cable and not the 4pin blue connector to SWI cable

Strangely this afternoon the phone worked fine. I updated the firmware on the Pioneer this morning so that may have something to do with it.

Looking at the Firmware update notice, there were many issues that the Pioneer update addresses. If it continues to happen, please give us a call. Glad you got it going, and thanks for choosing Maestro.

I had the issue again this morning. One factor I noticed was I used the steering wheel controls to answer and I was unable to hear them. I will test again using the button on the screen to answer and see if that is a common factor.

Another issue. How do I get my texts read to me? When I receive one I get a box with an i on the bottom right of the screen but hitting it does nothing.

And one more thing, my phones contact list doesn't show on the head unit. Is that expected?

I've confirmed the Maestro is plugged into the proper jack on the radio. Still getting no audio from the sync system.

can you send me the serial # of the maestro. It is on the white sticker on the back of the module. If youd like snap a couple pictures of the connections on the radio, the maestro and the sticker. just send them to support@adsdata.com

I've sent the email. I disassembled my dash today and confirmed everything is plugged in properly as far as I can tell.

Have yet to get a reply to my email. Still having issues.

In addition, I tried to upload new firmware to disable sync for phone and use the built in bluetooth but the maestro is not being detected. Does it have to be removed in order to reprogram it?
