2015 traverse no OnStar sound
I just had a radio installed in my 2015 traverse and all works well with the radio and idatalink stuff besides OnStar.
When I hit the buttons on my mirror, all I get on the screen is OnStar and then no sound. It’s working and sending a signal out to them but I hear nothing.
It’s a JVC kw-v840bt
I hear sound when I go to maestro settings on radio and choose volume level for sp1. And when radio first starts up.
All wires are connected correctly. Including Audio jack

The OnStar audio is taken from the RR to the aftermarket radio on the 3 pin black audio cable. On your JVC, the 3.5mm jack should be plugged into the idatalink I/F port, right near our 4 pin black data cable connection.

with the ignition off hit the onstar button. Do we get onstar audio from the SP1 speaker?

I only hear the sound through the speaker sp1 never car speakers. Only when jvc start up screen is on and when I’m in settings adjusting the sp1 onstar volumes

Correct, do not put the key in the ignition cylinder (Vehicle is not running and radio is off). Hit the Onstar button, do you hear Onstar audio? if not we need to pull the radio and check the connections going into the Maestro. We want to ensure all connectors are seated fully into the Maestro, that no pins are bent and that no wires are being pulled from their harnesses. If all is good we need to check to see if we are getting audio on the factory satellite tuner. Please report back findings.

Then it's either your audio cable is not installed, not in the right port, or your 10 pin black connector is not seated well.
