2010 FJ Cruiser Steering wheel buttons and vehicle info not working

Post by 2daveb » Sat May 05, 2018 1:07 pm

I have a 2010 FJ Cruiser. I purchased a Maestro RR with a TO1 harness. I followed all the wiring instructions to connect it to my Pioneer AVH-2440NEX receiver, flashed and configured the firmware on the Maestro unit and the steering wheel controls and vehicle info are not working. I must have missed something in the wiring. Any suggestions? What could I be missing?
I do see a red led flashing on the Maestro unit.
Everything else with the receiver works fine.

If you're getting 2 red flashes, that means the maestro and the radio aren't able to communicate. Make sure that the all black, 4-pin data cable that runs between the RR and the radio is installed. Ensure it is in the black port (not the blue or red) on the maestro.

If that is good and you're still getting flashing, please call us at the support line when you're in the vehicle for further troubleshooting (there's more info we'll need from you, so it is much easier and faster to do it over the phone).
