2018 f150 jvc kw-m750bt

Post by jridgway611 » Wed May 08, 2019 10:28 pm

I was installing this jvc radio but when I plug up the battery the instrument cluster has all of the lights on and the gauges going crazy and says something about parking brake error. The radio itself works and so does the backup camera. When I was doing the wiring I didn't use the yellow/brown wire, pink, blue, or brown. The light green e brake wire I wired to the light green on the radio. What am I missing? And which wires should I be using on the maestro box?

Did you hook something up to the blue 2-pin plug on the FO2 t-harness? If so, disconnect it. This can make the truck go crazy.

Your pictures aren't very helpful in what I'm asking. There is definitely a blue 2-pin plug on the t-harness. Not where it plugs into the module itself, but in the middle of the harness that plugs to the truck.

Is there somewhere I could have plugged it into? If there is a place to plug it in on the truck then I very likely plugged it in.

You could have plugged it into the 2-pin black plug, also found on the t harness. This would mean you're sending power into the truck's main data system, which would make it act crazy.

That is what it was, I unplugged it and it worked just fine, but now I have a check engine light that is code P068a. Is this due to plugging those 2 together?

Probably not. You can use the Maestro's vehicle info screen to clear it.
