Which remote starter?
Data or hardwired?
Tach or tachless?

Best regards!

Post Re: 07 dodge ram diesel shutting down
checking to see if you have found a cause yet, I have two dodge diesels doing this same thing, start, run a couple minutes, shut down, then restart! The first one is a 2003, autostart 1775, no bypass needed, and the other is a 2009, autostart 2362, with an ads/alca/ch5, both are having the same exact issue, i thought it was a bypass or tach wire issue on the 03, so i hooked up the tach wire, still doing same thing yet. But since the 09 is doing the same thing, it has to be something we are overlooking. On the 2003 i hooked up the tach wire, but it is still having the same results. what is strange is both are doing it, and i thought i was the only one with this issue, please let me know if found a solution. The strange thing is that sometimes they both run the full cycle without shutting down! sometimes start, run a couple minutes, shut down, restart, and then run the full cycle, its not like they are shutting down every couple minutes.
Thanks,
Marlin

I'm having the same issue with an 05 dodge 2500 diesel. Has anyone come up with a solution yet?

We have an '06, doing the same thing when cold outside or engine is cold.

Been a real pain in the ass. Spent quite a few hours trying different things on 2 occassions.

It's been warm (30+ degrees) here for the past week so we haven't been able to get an answer to whether or not our last try worked or not. This past time we changed the tach to the PCM (?) and changed our main ground directly to the battery. We also changed the tach programming on the compustar 6200 from 2-1 to #2 (previous tach method)

Just thought I'd chime in.......

Very interesting one isn't it? Seems odd we are all having the same issue, and i'm sure most of us have been installing for years, and know most of the tricks to install and make these things work 100%!!! I also have tried numerous things, and think I finally have one of them solved, Just told my customers to try it as much as possible and let me know the results. Thankfully my two customers with this issue have patience and are very understanding! I will let all of you know what I have done if it works out!
