2009 Ford F-150 w/o nav + JVC KW-V950BW battery drain

Post by db317 »

I initially installed and flashed RR w/ FO1 cables to use factory sync. Changed my mind to only use radio bluetooth and not use sync. Re-flashed RR without issues. Everything works as advertised except when I forget to lock the truck. Battery drains within 24 hours if left unlocked. If you lock the truck and everything goes to sleep, battery drain doesn't seem to be an issue. I have not done a parasitic battery test yet, but will if there is no simple solution. OBDII port is plugged in. Is there an OBDII setting that I've missed somewhere?

I doubt it is a setting. The RR goes to sleep when the computers in the truck to, and wakes up when it sees activity on the data lines (an open door, key in the ignition, etc). If it is dying that fast, it's possible something is keeping the vehicle awake when it should be going to sleep.
