Feature is unavailable because maestro is disconnected

Post by marioalderman2013 »

I have a pioneer 8500 in a 2018 Toyota Corolla LE I have been getting this error message “Feature is unavailable because maestro is disconnected” Sometimes it will power off the radio and turn right back on yesterday it didn’t power off the radio it just continued to say the error message.

What firmware version does the maestro have on it?

We need to check the power coming from the car to the maestro on the red/black wire when this is occurring. Does the power drop out? We also need to meter the voltage on the maestro's heavy gauge red white the radio is rebooting. Does the power drop out?

2.9 is current. Past that point, we need you to meter like i mentioned above when the problem is happening to see if the power is dropping out, and that will help determine if there is a harness issue, module issue, etc.

I will have to take apart the dash and un tape the harness and check it may be a couple days but I will get back to you soon. Thank you!

This is the same issue I’m having in my 2017 Tacoma with a pioneer W4500NEX. The error is the same, but my unit turns off so fast I could never read it word for word.

If you are asking me, two weeks ago with the 2.09 firmware. The issue still persists after that. I will go ahead and try the jumper suggested in the other post.
