Does the PROGRAMMING BUTTON actually work on the SW?

Post by DefenderJosh »

My programming button doesn't seem to do anything... at all. I've tried to initiate a reset and/or manual programming using the button, but nada.

Neither holding the programming button while connecting the plug(s) nor holding the programming button while turning on the car's accessory mode does anything. What's the reset procedure for the Maestro SW?

Is the programming button supposed to do anything? What? How? Is mine broken—how can I tell?

Thanks!

The button on the side does nothing. It originally was supposed to be a reset but wasn't needed so it's just there as a decorative feature now. There is no "reset" procedure.

So, the procedures outlined in this document—which was admittedly hard to find—are defunct?

If so, that's too bad because it seems like a nice alternative to measuring resistances and generating a custom firmware for quick/simple customization.
