Maestro RR + Ford Mustang + reverse

Post by Ve0 »

Hi!

I have Ford Mustang with RR integrated with FO1 cable and aftermarket kenwood stereo.

The issue is: when I connect the reverse and connect everything, the stereo think I do reverse and show me the camera, even the gear is neutral.

If I disconnect the reverse everything working fine.

Latest firmware. Checked on 2 cars, the same issue.

Please help)

Was there anything connected to the Purple/White wire coming from the RR besides the Purple/White wire of the radio? Normally if the RR is putting out voltage on the Purple/White wire all the time it's because the output has been damaged somehow. If that's the case you either can return the RR to where you bought it for a new one if it's within the warranty period or you can just run the reverse trigger of the car straight to the radio instead of using the RR.

Thank you for answer!

Found another issue: always went in to dark mode, like it’s nighttime... could be related to this issue?

What is the Orange/White wire of your radio connected to?

Sorry for late answer. I changed the Maestro RR, new maestro working fine, with no issues.

I think the problem is with old Maestro RR.

Thank you!
