Our 12v support section is for our dealers. Your information is coming up as a repair shop and not an installation business.

We do all sorts of work, including component-level repairs to all sorts of electronics, yes, but also new installations, though typically in bigger high-end custom projects rather than mass-market consumer stuff. I'm sure I can dig up a couple photos of a couple IASCA-competetion winning audio and interior mod jobs we've done, if you like. :)

The last couple jobs were an AL Priority laser jammer in an SL63 (owner also has an SL50 which we've done stereo update mods to since the original nav system was so old, but that was a couple years ago,) and re-building half the wiring harness incl. most of the lighting circuits and rebuilding half the switches, etc. in a '57 Chev Bel Air, switching from the mechanical Rochester FI to a FAST EFI system, adding a new alarm, etc.

We've generally normally used DEI gear and a lot of our work is custom jobs, mods and updates on classic vehicles and classics. Not much need for interface modules when you're working on a '56 Buick Special rewire, stereo and alarm.

I like some of the new Firstech stuff from an installer and technical perspective, and your vehicle coverage is very comprehensive. though the older, typically clunky remotes on the CompuStar units has tended to turn off potential customers, some of the newer ones are much better so becoming a more attractive option for our typical customer. I still have half a case of DEI DB-ALL but will probably start using more ADS modules for the superior vehicle coverage. We've had to use a couple -ALCAs due to lack of coverage, not even covered on the newer DB3.

In this particular case, we're a moving a CS7200 with a COM-BLADE-AL from their RAM diesel with M/T to their GMC Envoy as the're selling the RAM and like the started. It won't seem to program the immobilizer bypass properly. GM1 is loaded properly and I've set every option that might be conflicting somehow that I can think of to a sane default, remote lock/unlock works and it seems to arm and disarm the factory "alarm" properly. The light on the module goes blue when programming the start sequence, so it appears that it programs correctly, but it won't actually start when you command a start, eventually just gives up with the 08 error, never cranking.

I've been doing this for 25 years, yet I'm sure I'm missing something blindingly obvious here...
