2010 F150

Post by abel.j.salazar »

I just had the Kenwood DMX7706S installed with the maestro installed. The installers removed the factory bluetooth microphone and replaced with the DMX7706S. They left the Synch enabled on my request because I want to utilize the voice and hangup buttons on the steering wheel. However, when I initiate sync to make a phone call, it does not action as there is no microphone. I know that is because there is no bluetooth microphone connected to synch. My question is if I have them disable synch can I still utilize the buttons on the steering wheel to activate voice commands?

Vehicle: 2010 Ford F150 XLT 4x4 Supercrew w/Synch
Radio: Kenwood DMX7706S

End State: I want to utilize the buttons on the steering wheel to activate voice commands to my connected phone.

my recommendation is to disable sync and use the kenwood bluetooth. the phone buttons will auto remap to the Kenwood and work with your phone
