Steering wheel buttons stop working after touching any button on radio

Post by IndyShane »

Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 2015
Pioneer AVH 2550nex

Maestro had been working great for last couple months.

Added alpine pwe-s8 hideaway sub/amp. Connected to the back of the radio with RCA. Remote power on wire connected from the amp to the blue/white wire on back of radio. Power and ground connected separate odd radio.
All works well and sounds great!

However, the steering wheel controls will now only work up until the point I touch a button on the radio. Once I touch a button, the steering wheel controls stop working. They start working again after the vehicle is turned off and back on.

Again, everything works great until a radio button is touched. Only issue after that is there steering wheel controls stop working.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

You accidently plugged the maestros audio cable into the Pioneers wired remote input (WR). reomve and plug it back into the Pioneers AUX input.
