Challenger - Using factory amp and head unit amp together.

Post by Telly420 » Fri Nov 29, 2019 7:55 pm

Hello,
2010 Dodge Challenger with premium BA 8 speaker audio.
1. Can I set up the RR to retain the factory amplifier but also hook up the new head unit just to the door speakers directly off the head unit amplifier?
2. Will there be any errors or issues with the canbus doing this?
3. If the above will work are you aware if there is a certain channel in the stock amp that alerts like door chimes etc come out of? Or do the sounds come out of all channels on the factory amp at the same time?

Thanks!

It is recommended to wire it like that. either run it all from the factory amp or bypass the amp. If you try and mix and match it you will just have more headaches then its worth.
