2009 Honda Accord and Feature Compatibility

Post by scubarich13 »

Hi,

I just installed a Kenwood DNR476S and three cameras in my 2009 Honda Accord. The capabilities available right now are kind of underwhelming and I’m hoping a Maestro product can help me. Can you please confirm that these capabilities are available in my configuration with a Maestro product?
  • Factory clock retention. I don’t really care about the whole display so much as just the clock.
  • Automatic switch to left or right camera when turn signal is triggered.
  • Tire pressure in PSI. Actually, can you confirm what gauges are available?
The head unit already switches to the backup cam and the steering wheel buttons are operational in my current configuration. I assume these won’t be impacted.

Thanks!

Which OEM radio did you have in the Accord, Navigation radio, the radio with the 6 disc changer, or the base one with just a single cd?

The clock should be retained and set by the new radio.
The RR doesn't have the ability to trigger any cameras with the left or right turn signal however the new RR2 will have that ability when it comes out either later this year or beginning of next.
As for the TPMS, unfortunately we do not support TPMS in the Accord. AS for a list of gauges that you will see, there is no list since it can vary by trim levels but here is the full list of what we look for:

Acceleration
Accelerator Pedal Position
Air Fuel Ratio
Average Fuel Economy
Battery Voltage
Braking Distance
Boost/Vacuum
Dist. To Empty
Engine Coolant Temp
Engine Load
Engine Oil Temp
Exhaust Gas Temp
External Air Temp
Fuel Level
Fuel Pressure
Instantaneous Fuel Economy
Intake Air Temp
Intake Manifold Air Pressure
Mass Air Flow
Quarter Mile
RPM
Throttle Plate Position
Timing Advance
Torque
Transmission Fluid Temp
Vehicle Speed
Zero to 60 Mph

Thanks for the reply, Bill.

Will the RR or RR2 support the factory aux port?

The HO2 wire harness has a 3.5mm jack on it so you can plug that into your radios AUX jack, so the 3.5mm down in the dash will still be retained.
