Need help connecting RR & T01 to 2007 FJ Cruiser

Post by goody1017 » Sun Oct 20, 2019 11:36 pm

The wiring diagram indicates the FJ should have 4 connectors yet I can only locate 3. These 3 were disconnected from the rear of the factory head unit. My FJ has the factory subwoofer. Where is the 4th connections?

If you only have 3 connectors, this is normal with Toyota. In some trims and some vehicles they don't have all 4 plugs. This is no cause for concern.

Thank you Dara.

Where can I find out what integration capabilities are available when using Maestro RR with 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser? For reference, I'm using a Kenwood DMX7706S head-unit.

The reason I'm asking is the only features I can get working with my FJ is the steering wheel control and some limited gauges. No other capabilities of the OBD2 or data bus are appearing. I'm trying to determine if this is due to the limited capabilities of the 2007 FJ's data bus or something I've configured wrong.

Thanks

The 2007 FJ doesn't have a lot going on in terms of diagnostic data; This vehicle doesn't have a BCM, so you won't see door status on the vehicle info screen. You will get some gauges (whatever is being reported on the data line where we're reading, HS can), TPMS if the system is present and reporting numeric tire pressures, and check engine light read and reset, when there is an active check engine code.
