2010 Subaru Legacy Poor radio reception

Post by Prj102 » Fri Aug 30, 2019 8:59 pm

I’m having what I would consider poor radio reception in my legacy after replacing the stock radio with a pioneer head unit. Everything else works great but the radio can be a bit flaky at times. A friend of mine told me that Subaru’s have a amplifier that’s needs 12 volts and not having my blue wire connected to 12v could be the issue. Does this sound right? It doesn’t match what’s documented in the wording diagram from maestro.

Yes, there is a Blue wire in our harness that needs to be connected to your power antenna turn on wire of the radio. if your radio doesn't have that wire then you can connect our Blue wire to the Blue/White amp turn on wire of the radio.
