2017 Hondas HR-V EX-L Maestro RR / Pioneer MVH-1400NEX

Post by GiRARDsays » Thu Aug 29, 2019 7:48 pm

So I just installed my Pioneer MVH-1400NEX w/ Maestro RR into my 2017 Honda HR-V EX-L. With the factory setup, the Rearview Camera has 3 different view angles. I knew I would lose that feature and be stuck with 1 which is fine. My question is can the viewing angle be changed somehow? Right now, the camera captures a super wide angle (almost fisheye lens effect) with the Stock Camera. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

just to be clear vehicle is started and running, we put the vehicle into reverse and then hit Source button on the steering and we get no change? If that is the case please get a multimeter and we need to test the couple wires on the 18 pin connector of the maestro harness.
Set meter to DC voltage and get the voltage of pin2 and then of pin 4 on that 18 pin connector that plugs into the maestro module.

Yes. The vehicle is running when I put it in Reverse to activate the camera. What's the Voltage supposed to be reading when I check the Voltage w/ a Mutimeter?

On that Pinout Diagram, is it being referenced from the side where the wires go into the plug shell or from the other side? Does the Reverse Camera need to be on before I check voltage?

leave everything plugged in and do the testing. take you readings with the both the camera engaged and not via putting the car into reverse. also make sure the vehicle is started

Am I supposed to be reading a specific voltage or to confirm if those pins are getting signal?

Like i said previously set your meter to DC Voltage and post what those readings are.
