Will the radio shut off if you disconnect the OBD2 plug from under the dash?

It is very likely that we aren't seeing the gear position on the data lines. This is common in the Tacoma. You can tell if this is the case by using our diagnostic menu in the OEM setup of the radio. Go to: Setup > AV > OEM Setup > Maestro Features > Maestro Module > Diagnostics

If the gear position shows NA, that means we aren't able to sense reverse on the data lines, so we aren't able to generate it. In this case, you would need to run a reverse wire from the vehicle to the radio to get it to switch when you go into reverse.

With obd connected shows park. And when i switch gear it actually change to reverse etc.

Without it it on park always.

So no obd camera wont auto engage.

With radio wont power off.

There is a small resistor in the taped up part of your harness that needs to be cut out. It connects the gray/red wire to the red wire in the main part of the TO1(or2) harness. cut the resistor out and tape up the two wires to isolate them from touching. Then reconnect your OBD2 connector and all should work
