2014 Ford Focus Maestro RR firmware

Post by chronos »

Hello all,

I have an "issue" or so I think. I believe i installed the incorrect firmware for my Maestro Rr from the recommended ones and cannot change it. Seems as though it was the only firmware available. Using the weblink with internet explorer also does not work because the plugin needs to be installed, which I did.

The desktop app installed the following firmware: ADS-RR(SR)-FOR02-AS (512) v1.3

Radio to be used: Alpine INE-960HD
Maestro Rr
Maestro KIT-FOC1

Is the firmware installed the correct one or is it okay to use? If so, which install guide is the correct one?

using the weblink desktop is the right way to go. yes, the firmware you listed is the correct one to use, it's the latest. I attached the install instructions just in case you didn't get it when you completed the flash of the RR.

Bill,

There are two connections to make for the steering wheel control cables which has the blue connector. An auxiliary jack style plug and a blue/(white/yellow) cable. I have the 3.5mm jack port on the radio, but can't seem to figure out to where the wire should connect to.

Could you help me?

just tape up the Blue/Yellow wire, it's not used with the Alpine. That's for if you had a Kenwood/JVC radio. Plug the 3.5mm jack into the steering wheel control port of the Alpine.
