Maestro SW / Accord 2010 6 CD

Post by Adammaestro »

Hello,

I’ve got a 2010 Honda Accord EXL w/6CD factory.

I installed a Sony XAV-AX1000 and am trying to get my steering wheel controls functioning with the SW.

I successfully flashed the firmware and that completed OK.

I used the wiring diagram to tap into 2 wires on the stereo factory harness

Maestro Purple/Red -> Pink (A-16)
Maestro Black/White -> Brown (A-05)

I then cut the wire in the factory Bluetooth harness (light blue B-02) and spliced in the Maestro SWI-2 IN (pink/red).

Lastly I plugged in the connector from the maestro to the Sony stereo.

When I turn on the vehicle, the maestro blinks once (green).

None of the buttons on the steering wheel are active and no lights show on the maestro when they are pressed.

Advice on what I can check? Thanks

If you do not get flashes when you push buttons on the steering wheel, then your connections to the car are not correct, or they're done poorly and the maestro isn't seeing signal from the car. It might be best if you give us a call when you're in the car and we can help locate the wires.

Thanks, I will check all my connections again. I am using posi-taps on the stereo harness and I suspect they are not making good (enough) contact since the wires are so thin.

I will call if still having an issue after I re-wire this afternoon. Thanks

I think I spoke to you earlier on this. Did you get it resolved by redoing your connections?

Sorry for the hijack , just trying to find where Bluetooth harness is located on 2010 accord ! I start my install soon.. I have no factory Bluetooth . I'm guessing the harness is left driver side where a factory module would have been installed . Thanks

That wire will only pre present, and is only required when there is factory Bluetooth and buttons for it on the steering wheel. If not, just follow the guide for your install.
