Maestro RR

Post by otterbob » Tue Jul 09, 2019 10:19 am

Recently installed a pioneer 1500nex with a maestro rr in my 2018 f150xlt. Was wondering if it would be possible to flash the maestro with an ability to make one of the steering wheel controls to display external air temp with a long button push

Bob,
Same answer as when we talked on the phone yesterday. The radio manufacturer doesn't give a place on the screen for that temperature to show, so there is no way for us to do that. The only thing you might be able to do is populate it as a gauge on the gauges screen.

Yes I’ve got that. Or what would be nice is a long press on a steering wheel button to bring up the gauges screen...

That is already a feature we support. Simply re-flash your maestro and change whichever steering button you like to 'Display Gauges Screen' in the steering wheel controls configuration section of the flash.

Lost compass on trip computer

Post by otterbob » Wed Jul 10, 2019 7:16 pm

2018 f150 xlt. Maestro Rr pioneer 1500 new radio. Is there any correlation with this install as to losing my compass that shows up on the trip computer behind the steering wheel? I’m almost certain it was there after the radio install but now it’s mysteriously disappeared.

I merged your threads because you posted in the amp replacement section. Let's keep all the posts for your one vehicle here to keep it simple.

If the compass was being sent by the OEM radio and you replace it with a non-navigation radio, the compass will be lost. The only radios that have the ability to send compass information to an external display are navigation-equipped Kenwoods.
