Mitsubishi Lancer X and Maestro RR

Post by alexey.uratkin » Tue Jul 09, 2019 2:02 am

Hi,

I got Mitsubishi Lancer X 2008 and JVC KW-M730BT. I set up Maestro RR using this credentials. I also installed it according to the manual I got right after the flashing Maestro.

Then I realized that:
* CAN-related feature like Gauges, etc. doesn't work at all;
* Steering wheel buttons work sometimes. It means when I press the button, sometimes I can observe green flash on Maestro RR, and my JVC reacts to that properly. But it happens very rarely. Usually, when I press the button, nothing happened even no flash on Maestro RR; looks like it hangs up.

Can you please give me a piece of advice about what is going on and what should I do with that?

Check your wiring. The most common mistake in this firmware is that the gray/red is not hooked up to accessory power. If this isn't hooked up, the Rr can not stay powered up; it will work for a few seconds and then turn off, like you're describing.
