2014 f150 kenwood DNX574S w/sync; keys do not respond

Installed 1 year ago with all inputs and controls functional. However the s/w controls and touchscreen controls will all stop responding at random and after an amount of time will resume functioning, seemingly on their own. This began upon initial install and continues to this day. During these periods i have found that the HOME button is the only one that responds. Once I press HOME it has the effect of unfreezing all other controls. Can you help?

When this happens, have you tried resetting the Kenwood? Does this bring them back? We don't have any control over the touch screen, so it makes me think it might be a radio issue.

Thank you for your quick response. I failed to mention in my original post that the HVAC controls, in addition to S/W and Kenwood controls, are included in this event. When this happens only the HOME button on the Kenwood works. When I press HOME all other buttons/controls (S/W, HVAC, KENWOOD) resume functioning. I have reset the Kenwood multiple times only to have the problem reappear the next day or two. This began right after initial install and continues to this day.

Have you ever updated the Kenwood radio itself? There have been several updates put out during that time.
