2006 Toyota 4Runner + JVC KW-855BW + Maestro RR - T01 harness = Android Auto not working

I can't get Android Auto to work. Keeps telling me I need to put it in park. I've read that I'm suppose to ground out the wire coming from the JVC unit, but....why in the instruction for the Maestro RR does it say to connect the light green wire from the JVC HU to the Maestro T01 harness? What am I missing? My light green wire is connected to the Maestro RR T01 harness light green wire per the instructions. Is this why Android Auto refuses to continue?

Connecting our parking brake wire to the parking brake input of the radio is totally normal, and that is technically the correct way to connect it per JVC's safety standards. Android Auto is built into the JVC, so I would recommend contacting them for troubleshooting on this feature.
