2013 Crosstrek Install

Post by Crosstreker » Thu May 30, 2019 3:05 am

Greetings. Just did an install on my 2013 XV Crosstrek and not sure what I did wrong. Basically nothing seems like its working. The radio cannot read anything from the car and the steering controls are not working. But the USB interface works, if that means anything.

I am using the following:
MAESTRO RR, firmware ADS-RR(SR)-SUB2-DS (512) V1.4
SU1
Kenwood DNX575S updated to the latest firmware
2013 Crosstrek w/o Navigation

What is the light doing on the maestro; is it blinking 2x red?

It might have been. I think so but can confirm later. Going to take the dash back apart when I get home. If so, what does that mean?

The only things that can cause 2x red flashes are:
-The all black, 4-pin Data cable that should run between the maestro and radio is bad, not installed, or plugged into the wrong place.
-Wrong radio model or serial number entered during flash
-RR is bad
-Radio is bad
