2015 Chevy Silverado

Post by Scott15Chev » Wed Jan 09, 2019 9:37 am

Hello,

2015 Chevy Silverado
Pioneer AVH-W4400NEX and iDatalink Maestro ADS-MRR purchased from Crutchfield

Had the stereo installed at a shop. The factory backup camera was not connected during the initial install, they couldn't figure out how to connect it.
Went to a different shop a few weeks later and they finally figured out how to connect it. The cam now works when in reverse, but the backup cam lines that were present with the factory radio are missing.
Crutchfield service chat assures me that they should still show with the equipment I purchased.
Wondering if because the cam was not connected during the initial set up, if that may be the issue.

Would the Module Master Reset correct this issue and is that different from a factory reset of the Maestro?
What exactly does the Module Master Reset do?

Any assistance or guidance would be appreciated. Thank you.

Unfortunately in the Silverado the OEM radio is responsible for adding the parking lines to the camera and when you remove the radio the lines go too. We do have the ability to add dynamic parking lines (they move when you turn the steering wheel) to the camera however that is for only select compatible Kenwood/JVC radio models.

Hi Bill - thank you for the info.
Following your advice, I replaced the radio with a Kenwood and as you said, the lines are now available.

I do have a question about climate on the new install. I see fan speed adjustments on the radio, but nothing else from the climate controls seems to be connected to my radio. The temps show zero and do not adjust. Same for the others, like AC and Window defrost. They do not change on the radio when I change the controls.
And I use to see outside temp on the pioneer/rr set up, but that is missing too.

Any assistance or guidance would be appreciated. Thank you.

which harness are you using GM3 or GM4? Also, if you go into the maestro menus what are we seeing for the status and detection of the climate controls?

Hey Justin - Thank you for the reply.

It looks like I was sent an HRN-RR-GM3

Under OEM SYSTEMS I'm only seeing
-Steering Wheels Control
-Parking Assist
-TPMS
-Telematics

The shop just informed me that they spoke to tech support at idatalink about my issue.
They were informed that climate controls cannot be controlled or displayed by my Kenwood.
This was not my understanding before I purchased the radio. The Pioneer I just removed worked with my climate controls.

Can anyone confirm if this info is correct?

2015 Chevy Silverado
Kenwood DDX9705S
iDatalink Maestro ADS-MRR Universal Radio Replacement & SWI
iDatalink HRN-RR-GM3 Install Harness for select 14-up GM

Edit to add the following:
Maestro was flashed today at the shop and currently list following info under settings
Firmware Name: ADS-RR(SR)-GM03-DS
Firmware Version: 01.60
This was a new device, so SN changed from previous post
