T-Harness aT03 (2 purple wires and red/brn and yellow/brn wires) ???

Post by fireheadman » Sun Jan 06, 2019 9:13 pm

Getting ready to install a DSR1 w/aT03 T-harness.
I located the PDF instructions showing wire diagrams and wire reference charts..

BUT, when I look at the T-harness on the plug that goes into the DSR1 "vehicle" port... there are 2 connectors hanging off it that I cannot figure out what they are and where they go to.

Female connector has red w/brown stripe and yellow w/brown stripe (these 2 wires are twisted together)
These wires are coming off the "vehicle" plug

Male connector has purple and another purple w/black strip on it.
These wires are coming from the "input" plug

Anyone know what these are used for?

update: just got off tech support call with Maestro.

Purple wires are for the aR maestro for specific amps like Kenwood DSP, audison.... (Specific amps that require the aR)

Yellow/Red wires are for the ODBII connection and are not needed as the Maestro is able to pull this info directly from the vehicle harness

There is also a amp remote wire (blue) hanging off the "input" connector. This does not need to be uses as the harness is able to sense activity. The only time this would be used is for a second amp, such as a Sub amp.

Feel free to contact their support for additional clarification 866-427-2999 (option 2, then 3)
