2008 F250 OEM Satellite Radio Problem

Post by barbarmi » Tue Jan 01, 2019 5:31 pm

I installed the Maestro AR with a JVC KW-M740BT as a replacement for the Factory Radio. Want to keep the Factory Sirius XM receiver. Firmware installed is ADS-RR-FOR01-DS2. When I select the OEM Satellite Radio I see a signal strength meter at the top of the display and I can select channels but I do not get any sound out of the speakers.
I did not install the Aux Input cable from the Maestro Unit to the Radio since I replaced the factory Aux input with a USB/Aux Input plug so I have USB at the dash. All other functions I tested appear to work fine (except the gauges). Looking for ideas on why the tuner plays through the speakers but the Satellite radio wont

There is a 3.5mm to 3pin connector cable labled as "audio cable" in the guide that came with the MRR. This must be used in the install to retain OEM Source audio. It will plug into the 3 pin port on the MRR and the other end into the radio input labeled idatalink I/F

Justin, thank you this solved the problem.
Might I suggest you add this detail to the equipment specific instructions. The Install instructions I downloaded showed a cable with a 3.5MM connector on both ends not the miniplug on one end and th 3.5 mm plug on the other. Also the instructions labeled it an Audio Cable with no specific instructions to connect it to the iData link plug.
