Programming Maestro to Work With Steering Wheel Controls and Sirius XM Presets

Post by jrglenni » Wed Dec 05, 2018 10:10 am

Hello-

I have a 2011 F150 with the Maestro RR FO1 and I just swapped out my head unit from a Prioneer 4200NEX to a Kenwood DMX905S. I programmed the Maestro last night with seek + and seek - for the steering wheel +/- controls, but when I perform that action while in the Sirius XM audio section, it will only do a single channel up/down. If I set the buttons to the Band +/-, it will change from Sirius 1/2/3/4 groups of presets and won't actually cycle through the presets themselves. Does anyone have any idea if the unit can be programmed to properly change presets and what settings I need to use to do so?

This is a Kenwood thing; there is a setting in the radio called 'seek mode' that you change, and when you hit seek on the radio/steering wheel, it will seek manually, through presets, etc.
